COACHING
GHES offers high-quality coaching for riders looking for structure, confidence, and long-term development with their horse. While the program has a strong Hunter/Jumper focus, GHES welcomes riders from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines who are looking for thoughtful, professional support.
Full Program -
Starting at $1,300/month + GST
The Full Program is GHES’ most complete option for horses and riders looking for consistent, professional support.
This program is designed around five days per week of lessons and/or training, depending on the needs of the horse and rider.
The Full Program may include professional training rides, owner lessons, flatwork, jumping, groundwork, fitness, confidence-building, exposure, show preparation, and ongoing development based on the horse’s individual needs and the rider’s goals.
This program is ideal for horses and riders who would benefit from a more complete weekly structure, whether the focus is bringing a horse along, preparing for competition, building confidence, improving rideability, or developing toward long-term goals.
Additional support may be added depending on the program plan, including extra training rides, additional lessons, off-property schooling, show preparation, or customized horse-and-rider development.
Boarding & Care Costs
The Full Program fee covers coaching and/or training through GHES. Board and daily care costs are billed separately.
GHES is based at Columbia Gardens Farm in Fruitvale, BC. Boarding is operated by Columbia Gardens Farm and is currently $625/month.
Board includes 24/7 hay, twice-daily waterer checks, attentive daily care, and options for stalls with runs or group turnout paddocks.
Pen cleaning is arranged separately through GHES and is currently $300/month.
Estimated monthly base cost for a horse in the Full Program at Columbia Gardens Farm:
Full Program: starting at $1,300/month + GST

Additional costs may include grain, supplements, farrier, veterinary care, show fees, hauling, bodywork, and other horse care expenses.
Development Program -
$520/month + GST
Includes 8 lessons per month with the rider’s own horse.
The Development Program is designed for riders who want consistent coaching and steady progress.
This program is ideal for riders building strong foundations, improving flatwork, developing confidence, learning to jump, preparing for clinics, schooling off property, or working toward future show goals.
The Development Program offers a structured approach to coaching and is best suited for riders who want regular support without needing the full five day per week program.
Show Team Program -
$650/month + GST
Includes 2 lessons per week and 2 training rides per month.
The Show Team Program is designed for riders with competition goals who want additional support in their training and show preparation.
This program is best suited for riders preparing for local shows, clinics, schooling opportunities, and Hunter/Jumper competitions, including A-circuit shows such as Thunderbird.
Show Team riders receive a more complete level of support, including regular coaching, training rides, goal setting, show preparation, class planning, and development of both horse and rider for competition.
Show coaching fees, stabling, entries, and trainer travel expenses are billed separately.
Individual Lessons -
$75 + GST per lesson with the rider’s own horse.
Individual lessons may be available for riders who are not currently enrolled in a monthly program, depending on scheduling and availability.
These lessons are a good option for riders looking for support with a specific goal, help between clinics or shows, or an introduction to the GHES program before moving into a more consistent structure.
Regular weekly riders are encouraged to move into a monthly program when possible so that coaching can be more consistent and progress can be better supported.
